Grandma Moses Art Competition and Exhibition
Now in its 36th year the competition is open to budding artists over the age of 50 who live on the NSW Central Coast. The popular art contest and exhibition, run by Central Coast Council, is inspired by the life and work of Anna Mary Robertson, better known as Grandma Moses, who became widely famous for her evocative paintings depicting American rural life, after taking up painting in her seventies.
Prizewinners will be announced at a ceremony on September 11 at the Gosford 50+ Leisure and Learning Centre, in 217 Albany Street North, Gosford.
Fab Fakes 2018 at the Art House in Wyong from 14th to 30th November 2018. This exciting event and competition, which is open to NSW and ACT, has become a tradition over 20 years, first commencing in 1998. It was born out of the idea that the best way to learn art, is to try to emulate the great masters, to create a fake of a masterpiece – and so Fab Fakes was born.
