  • Coming up this month we have our general meeting on Wed 9th May from 9.30 – 12.00.   The demonstrator for this month is Lorraine Best who will be working in watercolour on Yupo paper.  (see photo above)  Lorraine was the feature artist at our Easter exhibition this year and has been working and experimenting with watercolours on yupo paper.  You can check out more of her work here: Lorraine Best art  Lorraine will be sharing her knowledge with us all this Wednesday.
  • The challenge for this month’s meeting is “Figures in a Landscape” so get those brushes going!
  • Also this month on Sat 19th and Sun 20th May we have our Introduction to Watercolour II workshop with Krista Brennan – there are still some vacancies for this course.  This workshop is a great refresher course for members who have already attended the Introduction to Watercolour I workshop.  Click here to download a booking form:         Intro to Watercolour II May 2018

CCWS had some very exciting news this weekend, as one of our members, Marlene Palagyi  won the watercolour section of the Dobell Festival of Art and Craft at Wangi last night.  Her painting titled ” Winter Morning ” was judged by Brad Franks from Muswellbrook.

Marlene is a recognised talent on the Central Coast art scene, having taken up her life-long interest in painting at age 58 when she made the decision to seriously pursue her passion.
