Juniper hallThe exhibition was enjoyed by all CCWS and guests that joined us for the bus trip to Paddington. They were inspired by   over 100 AWI and Chinese Watercolour Artists. This exhibition was held in Quanhua Watercolour Gallery and Shenzhen Museum of Fine Arts China in 2014. We stopped at St Ives Shopping Village to visit the Kuringai Art Societys Autumn Exhibtion which was very enjoyable. At Juniper Hall, we were treated to a tour of the gallery and a talk by David van Nunen, President of the AWI. Big thank you David van Nunan

April 2014  ‘Dobell House’ Bus Trip

The ‘Dobell House’ Bus Trip was not just enjoyable but informative, entertaining and filled with plenty of laughs.  Our wonderful guides provided a wide variety of fact and anecdotes about everything Dobell.  They even involved our bus driver, Phil, in a skit reenacting the well known court case regarding the 1943 Archibald prize that William Dobell won with his portrait of Joshua Smith.  Lunch was enjoyed at the nearby Club while we looked out on Lake Macquarie at Wangi Wangi NSW, before setting off to Coorangbong to spend some money at the Elephant Shop before returning home[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”12″ gal_title=”Dobell Bus”]
