About Us

Our Society was formed in 1985 in order to further our exploration of watercolour painting and to increase awareness within the wider community.  Still going strong 30 years plus, the Society boasts a membership of around 140 members, and includes a wide range of people from emerging artists to experienced semi-professional and professional artists.

A watercolour painting, for the Society’s purposes, is one that demonstrates the skillful use of translucent medium/media.

At our meetings, we have time for borrowing from the library, buying some new supplies, booking in a workshop or two and socializing with a cuppa before the general meetings begins.

General proceedings includes a few announcements, followed by the monthly painting challenge gallery and finally an activity or talk.  Our Annual General Meeting is held during the September meeting. Parking at the Centre provides plenty of convenient parking and disability access.
